UHF VE3OAK Tuneup

Thanks to a used but modern Kenwood repeater that John, VA3BL, secured for the club and tuned up with the help of Harry, VA3EC, the Oakville Amateur Radio Club’s UHF repeater is better than ever.

The coverage of the 440 machine should be better as Harry discovered the cavity filters had de-tuned and a tune up using some professional analysers seems to be making a big difference.

Now, of course, we’ve just got to figure out how to pay John for the machine but your executive team is working on it 🙂

We must also extend thanks to Jon VA3RQ for his assistance finding the equipment, picking it up and helping with programming and checkout! Thanks Jon!
