Welcome to the new Oakville Amateur Radio Club (OARC) blog, VE3HB.
The OARC is undergoing an exciting new revitalization process – a “reboot” of a great organization that began in 1956 – and we invite you to get involved. Membership in our club is open to all and is available by forwarding a request (and $20 Cdn) to OakvilleARC(at)gmail.com . Regular monthly meetings are taking place at the Halton Regional Police building on Dundas Street (west of Trafalgar Drive) on the second Sunday of the Month at 7pm. Curious? Come check out a meeting, hear about an interesting topic and see if this is for you at no obligation, we welcome everyone!
We also gather informally for Breakfast each Saturday morning At Cora’s on the East side of Dorval, north of the QEW at 6:30 am. Come join us and get your Saturday off to a great start.
The OARC serves Amateur Radio operators in the town of Oakville, Ontario and operates two repeaters with regional coverage (VE3OAK at 147.015 and 444.325 MHz). We are actively investigating new programs and services for our membership.
We are currently forming special interest groups within the club and anyone with a special interest is invited to forward their ideas to us.
What’s on your mind? Leave a comment, we’d love to hear from you!
Stay tuned for more,
President, Oakville ARC
